Who We are?

Student Club of Environmental Protection (SCEP) 

Student Club of Environmental Protection at University of Forestry in Sofia, is one of the oldest environmental organizations in Bulgaria. The club was founded in 1977 by a group of forestry students and in 1994 is officially registered as an NGO.

Objectives of SCEP

They are associated with stimulating activities and initiatives to implement projects related to environmental protection. Assistance for construction of environmental consciousness and culture among young people, and cooperation with NGOs, business community, with state and local authorities at local, regional and national level .

 Activities

SCEP conducting research, educational and social activities; Implements and supports projects and support community initiatives; One of the most important activities is to organize symposiums, seminars, conferences, trips, lectures and other national and international meetings focus on nature conservation; published information, analytical and other materials involved in initiatives of NGOs associated with the formation of public opinion on current environmental issues and sustainable development.

The International Forestry Students' Association is unique global network for students in forests and related sciences. IFSA is a non political, non religious and non for profit organization that has developed in the last 35 years to its current status as a worldwide organization bringing together forestry students from all over the world in a wide spectrum of activities.

IFSA vision is for global cooperation among students of forest sciences in order to broaden knowledge and understanding to achieve a sustainable future for our forests, and to provide a voice for youth in international forest policy processes.

IFSA mission is to provide a platform for students of forest sciences to enrich their formal education, promote cultural understanding by encouraging collaboration with international partner organizations and to gain practical experiences with a wider and more global perspective. Through its network, IFSA encourages student meetings, enables participation in scientific debates, and supports the involvement of youth in decision making processes and international forest and environmental.
